Construction 2019 - 2022

Phase Two of the Birmingham Westside extension sees the Midland metro tramway extended from the Library of Birmingham tram stop in Centenary Square to Hagley Road in Edgbaston (west of Five Ways). This extension takes in all of Broad Street.

In total, the extension from Centenary Square to the terminus on Hagley Road will be 1.35km long and it will feature intermediate stops at Brindleyplace and Five Ways.

Work will also be carried out on the public realm along the route and this will include the planting of trees.

Follow here, with our community, developments as they take place along the tram extension.
