Bescot Stadium Station - A Walsall & West Midlands Gem!

Bescot Stadium Station gained it's name in 1990 to serve the nearby Bescot Stadium, home of Walsall FC, but a Bescot Station has been on this site since 1850.

Where is Bescot Stadium Station?

Bescot Stadium Station is off Bescot Crescent, Bescot, West Midlands, WS1 4NH. It is near the Bescot Yard, and is accessed via footbridge over the M6 motorway.

In brief

There was an earlier station nearby called Bescot Bridge that was opened by the Grand Junction Railway in 1837, but the station on the current site was opened as Bescot in 1850, later renamed to Bescot Junction the same year. The line was electrified in 1966. It was renamed to Bescot Stadium in 1990, to serve the newly built home of Walsall Football Club. The station is near the Bescot Yard, and is the last station stop before Walsall.
