Where is Yardley Wood Station?

Yardley Wood Station is on Highfield Road between Hall Green and Yardley Wood, Birmingham, B28 0BY

In brief

The former Great Western Railway opened a station here in 1908 as Yardley Wood Platform (the suffix was later dropped). Most of the original station buildings are still intact. The station is more in Hall Green than Yardley Wood, but is close to three parts of the Shire Country Park (including the Trittiford Mill Pool, The Dingles and Chinn Brook Meadows). There is three trains an hour in both directions from Monday to Saturday each week, with one train an hour each direction on Sunday's.
